I voted for Dreamcatcher.

although his recent flicks have been gold, that is when it started to get good, IMO.

as far as horror goes.

It's not really fair to consider his non-horror movies, which are all great.

but I think that a horror movie is the kind of thing that King himself would most want to see, so you gotta rank it among them.

Just cannot believe that "The Stand" isn't in there... best way to waste 6 hours of your day other than on freeones!

green mile was pretty damn good!

I Liked The Shining.

I'm looking forward to the movie "Heart Shaped Box" based on the novel by "Joe Hill" who is actually King's ***.

Heart Shaped box is a great rollercoaster ride!

Not long ago I read "Blaze" by "Richard Brachman" which was one of King's early pen names. It was done when King was still doing short stories for men's magazines, he just updated certain things and published it.

It is a good read and very enjoyable and showed a lot of the style King perfected later on.

I recommend both if you like King's stuff. Hill also has a book called "20th Century Ghosts" which consists of LOTS of great short stories.

I liked Misery, Green Mile, It, Pet Sematary, Dead Zone, and Shawshank Redemption.

Shame to see I'm the only person who said The Mist. Extremely underrated. The ending shocked me so much I couldn't get it out of my mind for almost two whole weeks.

Shining and Shawshank, two of my favourite movies.

I went with "other". I love "The Running Man". Sure it's by Richard Bachman and nothing like the book, but that's my fav and I'm sticking with it.

Shawshank is my favorite, but I also love Green Mile, Misery, The Stand, Apt Pupil specifically and pretty much everything else. The man is a great storyteller. I have not yet seen 1408 or The Mist, but they are on my list.
