Hilton video taped driving again!!!

you get life for a rock in the ghetto, but people that rip off millions get to spend a few months in a minimum security resort.

im moving to the moon.

Don't you know that in this country some *********** are above the law? :)

Let's not nail this one to just ***********. Back when I was a cop, we'd nail the same people over and over again, driving with suspended, revoked, barred, or expired licenses.

A lot of times, when they came to court for those charges- they drove to get there! We did a number of stings on that, where we'd have people follow them from the court to their car, and zap them when they left the court.

So it isn't just celebs, though I would agree that most of them do think they're above the law.

Lawyers can be pretty stupid also.

A friend of mine was in court and while he was waiting in the courtroom he saw a lawyer get up and speak on behalf of his client. The client had a suspended driver's license for several months and wanted to get his driving privilege's back. When the judge asked the lawyer where the defendant had been employed while his license was suspended, the lawyer answered:
'Delivering pizza's for a local company, your honour.' Or words to that effect.

Needless to say the defendant did not get his privilege's back on that day.

But it is slightly more stupid when *********** do it.

Some people can easily get away with driving without a license, but *********** are constantly being watched and photographed. So I have no idea how they think they can possibly get away with it.

the license suspension stemming from her original conviction has since expired, so she's allowed back on the road.

one would have imagined, the judge might have extended it again this time, but instead he went 4 incarceration. :wave2: :nanner:

Thank you for clearing that up for me, Max. I just heard she's taking self-defense course to prevent getting ***** in jail.

The two aren't necessarily exclusive. Where I'm at, the Dept. of Transportation is a different ****** entirely from the criminal proceedings for that. My guess is- her license is still suspended if she got sent to jail for it.

The problem is, she's a spoiled bitch that thinks she's above the law.

Of course her license is still suspended, she hasn't paid the penalty yet, in this case its 45 days in jail.

actually, the jail sentence is just the punishment for ********* her probation.

her license is indeed re-instated.

hey, it's your laws, lol.

Without actually being able to see California DMV records, I don't think I'll rely on an article to tell me if she's still suspended. It's usually the practice to suspend someone's license further if they have not paid the fine/served the time for ********* the probation for a suspended license.

So, if the state of California told me she was clear, I'd believe it. But then, it's like a different planet over there on that coast, so who knows...?

I guess there could always be an almighty cock up, in so far as the DMV says yes, you're valid, while the courts say, no, you're not.

I'm sure we'll hear summit soon enuf, if she's in for it again.

that said, even though I'm sure her camp are just a big cadre of ''YES'' people, (as most camps tend to be) I can't honestly see them allowing her to do this.

45 days in county jail is not going to be fun. Because of her notoriety, she will have a cell to herself. She gets 1 hour out of her cell each day. Its going to be like solitary confinement to her. No TV, No radio, No Cell phone --- its going to be very lonely.

As for her driving in front of the paparazzi, you have to think she was told by her lawyer that it was ok to drive. So, I agree with the people who said that her suspension had expired.

As for Arnie pardoning her, I doubt if that will happen. He was tried to distance himself from his acting past and is making a strong foundation to be a noble politician. He would lose a lot of public support if he did pardon her.

I wish we had heard what the judge told her when she was sentenced. I wonder if Paris received one of the "tough love ....get with the program" speeches from the judge.
