This is HUGE: Kim Jong Un invites President Trump to meet in person

Let's just hope the meeting will happen in North Korea so that Trump won't have acess to his Twitter account...
Maybe it's going to be at that building that is right on the line between both countries. At least that's where I would think it would be so neither side has an advantage. Something like this SHOULD be at a neutral site.

Like I've read that Kim has never been outside of North Korea ever. Why should Trump venture into North Korea when there is no way Kim would ever consider coming to the USA for that meeting. But, who knows? For all we know, between now and then, the idea of the meeting will fizzle out for whatever reason.

On the one hand, I think MAYBE this means the Maximum Pressure sanctions have finally started to hurt Kim. Maybe he has finally been administered the equivalent of a couple of kicks to the groin and a kick to both knees. That's why he wants to finally negotiate ... before it gets worse. Specially now that the Olympics are over and they are no longer there to prevent the military option by his opponent.

On the other hand, I seriously don't see a denuclearization actually happening. I just believe there is zero chance of Kim actually agreeing by whatever means, by whatever conditions to wipe out his current nuclear arsenal. And I just don't see Trump agreeing to compromise by saying sayyy ... Okay, you can keep 50 ... or 100 ... or whatever amount of nuclear missiles.

But, I hope I'm wrong and the 2 minutes till midnight or whatever the armageddon clock says it is ... finally gets neutralized.

I dunno, there's something unusual about this. One, the idea of an American President and the North Korean leader meeting face-to-face is unheard of. Nixon/Mao? And this doesn't seem like a stalling tactic. Something seems to have spooked the shit out of the Kim regime where they have flat out said they will give up their nukes as long as they're not taken out. As has been pointed out elsewhere here, Kim Jong Un has it pretty good. He can kill or fuck whoever he wants. He certainly can eat whatever he wants. He's the ultimate gangster. Why give all that up when you know the U.S. and South Korea will not seek to end you as long as you de-nuke?

Chuck Faze should post more.

Speaking of Nixon/Mao, Rachel Maddow started fantasizing that she had a penis again and got all hot and bothered about no president had ever met face to face with a North Korean leader before so it had to be a bad idea. No American president had met with a Chi-Com leader before Nixon either.
And then there is the age old practice of presidents routinely sending pallets of cash to terror sponsor regimes.

Yeah fuck Rachel Maddow. If Trump had turned down that invitation she would've been REEEEEEE'ing over him rejecting diplomacy and being a war monger.

We're talking about averting a potential nuclear war here.

fuck her.

Yeah, this sudden about face makes me wonder about the legitimacy of this segment that I saw on 60 Minutes in recent weeks. Apparently some Nuclear Expert from here in the USA had been allowed to go inside the North Korean facilities. He was allowed to within reason, view some of the equipment and technology that the North Koreans are using in their nuclear arsenal program. Heck, that expert was even allowed to handle ... a piece of plutonium, I believe it was. You know ... as in supposed proof that the North Koreans do actually have plutonium and the ability to make nuclear bombs and that it wasn't all just some hoax.

That USA Nuclear Expert got to see this huge building full of thousands of ... I forget what they're called now, but they were devices that I believe process / prepare the plutonium or something. Bottom line --- that 60 Minutes segment was supposed to scare the living shit out of us at just how close North Korea was to being able to nuke the shit out of us.

And now suddenly .......... BAMM! Kim is suddenly willing to denuke if he is left alone and not kicked out of power? Their nuclear arsenal progress & power depicted on 60 Minutes must have been way exaggerated BS as I suspected at the time. I remember thinking at the time that I was watching the segment, "Well shit! Just because some object LOOKS like an atomic bomb ... has the traditional SHAPE of an atomic bomb (As possibly Googled up on the Net), does not mean it actually IS an atomic bomb. It could be a fucking empty shell of an object."

Yeah, PH has been on that kick for a while now

:1orglaugh

Amaing how while Obama wasn't allowing for victories the square mileage of territory possessed by ISIS dropped from over 90K to something like 23.

How about this as a radical idea: how about we give both presidents credit for what they've each accomplished in this battle?

I know that would require us to actually be fair minded, and objective, which God knows IS a radical idea. But maybe it's worth a shot?

actually, how about we go with what those on the ground say?

dragging this on with ISIS or any other battle longer than it needs to be ends up killing far more people than deciding it quickly.

Why did Obama micromanage the battlefield? except for the one raging in Benghazi of course. He was doing debate prep during that.

fuck your president.

We have a competent one now.

Why give all that up when you know the U.S. and South Korea will not seek to end you as long as you de-nuke?

So he's going to give up all that he's worked so hard to build in order to protect and insulate himself... in exchange for our word he won't be harmed/displaced?

Excuse me but

You understand that was never an option with this president? And Kim came to the same conclusion apparently.

Our word is better than his. And he knows this. North Korea could've continued on being the despotic isolated deocracy that it was until it started rattling that nuclear sabre.

Why did Obama micromanage the battlefield?.

I could readily answer that, but I'm done wasting my time trying to be logical or reasonable.
So many hours pissed away for nothing. Fuck it, I'm done.

fuck your president.

Yep. You know what. Never mind.
I have seen the light.
Trump is Lord and Savior.
There was no other before Him.
Hallowed be Thy name.

He said that he would be willing to disarm his nukes. There are ways of verifying this you know.

As for your claim of ISIS territory reductions, based on whose calculations? Why would ISIS admit to territories they control? If they lost territory they wouldn’t admit it. As I said before, I have no problem giving credit where credit is due.

I hope you aren’t basing those claims on the same intelligence agencies that have been proven to be highly political. I wouldn’t trust a damn thing James Clapper says.

all those hours pissed away for nothing? what exactly did you hope to accomplish here?
laters.

I haven’t witnessed a reaction before by the left like I have seen with this Trump/Kim meeting.
They are so worried that Trump might score a diplomatic foreign policy win that they are losing it because it doesn’t fit into the game plan for trying to defeat him and the narrative that he has been a failure.
I am most amazed at Trump’s ability to turn the attacks on him around and onto his haters.
And his ability to keep going as if he doesn’t even notice it. Many presidents would have cracked by now.

I couldn't have said it better. If President Trump comes away with a North Korea that gives up it's nuclear weapons program, do you think the left and their media will give him credit? He will have done what no prior administrations going back to Clinton were able to accomplish. And if he averts a nuclear war, I think that ranks up there with the greatest accomplishment of any president ever. JFK notwithstanding.

keep up the resistance tho, you fucking idiots. Those who should be in charge are.

Donald Trump way back in 1999 talking about North Korea and nukes

"If spoken to correctly, they (N. Korea) will play ball." - Donald Trump, 1999

the liberal media predictably going with the narrative of Trump being over his head in these matters when he meets with Kim Jong Un. They don't learn and in their derangement keep ending up with egg on their faces.

that suits me. we'll just keep rubbing their faces in it. keep it up.

The Democrats have no one to run against him in 2020. If he gets a deal with North Korea and keeps the economy and jobs steaming along, he could win 35-40 states.
