Inspired by the Netflix original series Stranger Things.

This was some kind of cultural golden age in America and came to a screeching halt marked by the advent of grunge. There went the fun.

From music, movies, tv shows, commercials, news, tech, pics, porn, your personal anecdotes, etc.- post 'em.

I didn't spend my formative years in the 80s, but I appreciate it in retrospect, and so do surprisingly many others. I've a playlist in my car of 80s hair metal and rock for those times when it's just man and machine and I'm going way over the speed limit. cool story.

England, whose diminished empire, that at one time the sun never set upon, was able to wage war on their own, *and win*, in a different hemisphere against a well-armed foe in their own backyard. That had to be Thatcher's (I am a fan) shining moment, right?

Boxing was wayyy better and more competitive back then. Sugar Ray Leonard ... Thomas Hitman Hearns ... Marvin Hagler ... Wilfred Benitez, Etc. Back then I used to know the champions and contenders of all the divisions. Now? Now I haven't even followed it in ages. Now I don't know ANY Boxing champions.

Norris, Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Van Damme, Segal, Eastwood, Gibson, Russell, Willis, Etc.
