At first thought, you probably are thinking these are two totally different types of sites. However, youtube does have like an in-depth user profile, and myspace is also a site for sharing videos, so the simple question. Which is your favorite?

YouTube, overall. But.. I gotta say MySpace is more of a social device. I think its what EMail should be/been. Why just send a message, send it a couple different ways, let everyone see it, etc. etc.

And youtube is ate up with funny crap... entertainment.. hardly seems social to me, unless you count the "I think this is funny, view it and agree with me" part. Everybody wants to flock to like-minded individuals.

and they are 2 different things.

not when you think about the fact that youtube is meant for different users to connect with each other (the friends, subscriptions, bulletins, messages, comments, groups). it's a way to meet people, like myspace, except it's doing it through video posting

Youtube. should have a Adults only section. But then again if they did that i wouldnt be comming to freeones anymore. LMAO

there is one. just different company.:D

anyway, they both suck. people uploading the useless shit they do. unless they get hit in the head or nuts, i dont care.;)

YouTube.

Where else can I relive concert memories from my youth? I don't get to see Jim Morrison or Robert Plant on TV now do I?

cheers,

Well seen as MySpace is a lot of people pretending there people there not. This was a easy question to me.

YouTube and thats not a great site either.

get vh1 classic. call your cable company and request it.
I have VH. Here's reasons I don't like it:

1. Too many ads
2. Too much "commentary"
3. Too much focus on extraneous bullshit rather than just the song/preformace alone.
4. Still not nearly as much freedom to choose content like the internet allows me to.

By the by: VH1 doesn't play enough jazz and blues musicians. Sure it's got the odd tit-bit off good ne'er before seen content but to me it's not worth the effort.

cheers,

I fully disagree.
Youtube has allowed me to see many shows/clips/concerts I otherwise would have had to download or possibly never find.
It reminds me of Napster because it lets you "preview" something & if you like it, go buy it.
Also I've been able to start a little thread beause of Youtube, I've been able to share a lot of stuff with you guys through them.
So yeah, Youtube for me. :2 cents:
Thanks.

I still think they are. Apples and oranges in my way of thinking. :)

myspace is fucking evil. and they are 2 different things.
Amen

i think they are totally different and serve two different needs
This is how I see it, two totally different services.

YouTube.

I enjoy looking at old clips as well as new. I even send links to commercials to my friend who lives in Alaska because its sometimes one she hasn't seen there. Some commercials just shouldn't be missed.

I totally agree and I enjoy the site and your thread. In fact your thread introduced me to YouTube I had never been there before. Thanks MM. :)

MySpace is for posing and making "friends". It's like a big posing popularity contest.

YouTube is for posting media. It is probably one of my top 5 websites on the net.
The only thing i dislike about YouTube is the people who post a new video everyweek with themselves talking just about their lives. That is very "MySpace" in my opinion. For them to think people actually care... Damn...

Youtube FTW! I recently got a top 100 video. It was awesome.

i spend more time on youtube because it has more videos, so i like it for entertainment. I also like myspace but for the personnal side of it, since it isn't about video's it is about people, and of course bands and movies and such.

I couldn't really consider them the same. thats just me
