I have no idea how many of FO members even knew about my YouTube channel or watched it, but it definitely has gotten lots of great feedback whenever I've embedded episodes of my "Siri's Porn Star Diary" channel in my own thread. The channel itself was coming upon 7,000 subscribers and had over 500,000 views. Not viral by any means, but pretty good for a chick talking to a camera.
Today, YouTube decided to delete my entire channel, with no warning and seemingly for no reason.
Over a YEAR of work, countless hours spent creating and editing these videos, all gone.
My videos NEVER had any nudity, copyrighted content, or overtly sexual content.
Most of my videos have been short video-diary style things of my daily life, or me simply talking to a camera (fully clothed, with some cleavage of course, but last time I read YouTube's ENTIRE LIST of Community Guidelines, nowhere does it say that cleavage is not allowed). I've never even had frank sexual dialogue in my videos.
I've heard of other channels being deleted for no reason and with no warning. It's shitty if it happens to anyone, but I feel like in my case it's definitely discrimination on the part of whatever YouTube employee who was having a bad day at work today and decided to delete my channel without following YouTube's own stated guidelines (sending a warning first or applying a "strike" to my account). Just because it's evident from my channel's title that I am a porn star, someone decided that my account deserved to be terminated, despite the fact that nothing I've posted goes against YouTube's guidelines and policies.
I intend to get in contact with someone at YouTube. I will post here if anything interesting happens... until then, Premium Link Upgrade to see the ongoing conversation about the ridiculousness.
