This list, personally, is a little tougher for me to put together than the top 10 qb list but here is mine:
*basing this on just overall ability to play the position, which includes running around and in between the tackles and catching the football

Meh, running backs are a dime a dozen anymore. The last great back was LT and he stayed around at least three seasons too long. There are some very good backs out there but not any complete backs. At best you have a two down player with someone else coming in on third down.

Peterson isn't complete? I think this 3rd down back system most teams deploy is more keeping their guy fresh and injury free than a true lack of an every down back.

Has there been any news on Peterson's knee? I don't know the history of the injury, but is it something he can come back from and be his old self again or is it going to make him run a little different?

i live in minneapolis right now and according to the paper it seems its going really well and expects to start the first game. Given that is what they always say, but I definitely would not pass on taking him in the second round of fantasy, and if he drops to the third definitely pick him up.

Wow, I remember back last year when he first got the injury everybody was freaking out and saying he'd miss half the season.. He could make a great pick in the second/third round because a lot of people still won't want to trust him.. thanks

A while ago Peterson was going in the 2nd round. He seems to be rising again. By the time August and September roll around, I'm sure he'll be back in the top 10.
