Your Sound System (stereo set up)

Here are a few pics of my receiver that I still use. It's a Pioneer SX-780. Circa 1976. Works like a champ.

I inherited my late father's SX 1050 along with a pair of Klipsch Heresy loudspeakers. :glugglug:

That 1050 weighs about 80 lbs.!

Those old Pioneer receivers are indestructible. As for me I have a JVC setup from the mid-nineties. Dolby surround (theater mode for music) with big ol' Infinity speakers in the front. I could probably blow the plaster off the walls if my wife would let me.

Most of my stereo $$$ is in my car.

Kenwood KDC BT648U head unit, MB Quart QS216 6-1/2" 2-Way Q Series door speakers, 3 JL10W7AE 10" subwoofers in a ported enclosure and a JL HD 1200/1 subwoofer amplifier.

Sadly, one drunken night a "friend" of mine decided that the volume level in the car was not loud enough so he proceeded to crank the volume up to around maximum capacity, the bass hit so violently that the headlights on my car went completely black, I lost a noticeable percentage of engine power, and ultimately 2 of my 3 subs were ripped open in the process.

Should have spent the extra $1.99 for a "Do Not Touch," placard. Dammit.

Between his Jack "24" Bauer and luvsemlarge accounts OP has started 144 threads. I can't decide if he's an attention whore or suffers from narcissistic personality disorder. Surely you have a website of your own, Jack "luvsemlarge24" Bauer. Are you an antique dealer by any chance? It would be easier to simply direct us to your awesome website so we can see everything all at once and can browse at our leisure.

In the house, all Sony with 12" Technics and 8" Yamaha behind for crazy realness if I want to watch a movie with Dolby on.

In the whip I have all aftermarket Pioneer (4"x6" and 6"x9"). I have a 500 watt Jensen amp that just blew my 12" Rockford. I have some 12" JBL GTs that I'm told are ridiculous but I've never tried them. I also have two 10" Pioneers I need some partical board for so I can make the box. Those will be installed next as 10"s are as much as I really want/need.

Stereo is a BS Dual brand DVD/CD player with the front USB plug, which is nice. I can sit in my car and watch DVDs if I want on a 2" screen, lol.

It will once I order and install new tweeters for the loudspeakers... I blew them up! :D

Hey, Jack, you gotta like the tuner knob, eh... how you can spin that thing all the way across the dial! :D Does yours still wheel efficiently?

I have two speakers that sound like empty bean cans that are wired to the back of my Hi-Fi. The sound it's very echoey, no bass at all.

j/k

lol, you have a good memory. And yes, that sucker is so smooth... give it a twirl and it glides effortlessly across the dial. :)

I want one.

L3ggy, I have one. It's a Technics with the strobe light to dial in your rpms. Sucker is nice. However, I don't have any vinyl left to listen to.

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I have an old JVC rack system from the early nineties. Still sounds great too.
