Your pre-hangover cure?

So you were out drinking for a few hours, its 2 am and you're pretty drunk. You have to get up at 7 am the next morning, and NOT be hungover. What do you do? (and drinking more does not count).

An entire loaf of fresh sour french bread . . . no garlic ! :nono: !!

No salame sandwiches, chili, linguica sausage, pizza, Chef Boy Ardee Ravioli :nono: . . . etc.
just bland stuff, or else, :pukey:

Waffle House....grease soaks up alcohol, making your morning easier. It'll tear you a new asshole, but you won't feel like a vise is crushing your skull.

a little food like rice or noodles or bread helps to soak up the liquer. also, pound down two full glasses of water. itl help tons

A glass of milk will help coat your stomach after drinking and keep you from yacking, at least it's worked for me in the past. I don't drink that hard much anymore so can't say if it still does the trick.

Want to kill that morning hangover, my head is about to explode headache. Take 1 or 2 Excedrin's and put them under your tongue until they dissolve then swish the granules down with water. Or better yet, just chew them up and swallow. They can't be the coated Excedrin...just the standard issue chalky original round ones.

They get into the blood stream insanely quick, like a nitroglycerin tab, and your headache should be gone in about 5 minutes. Tastes like shit, works like a charm. I use this one for normal headaches as well. Most people can't handle the nasty taste...but after a while you get used to it.

WARNING - Do not do this all the time, and don't just chew them for a quick Caffeine "Pick Me Up" energy boost. I was doing this for a long time and ended up with an ulcer...not good!

When I've had too much to drink (which for me is between 3 and 5 drinks, b/c I'm a lightweight) I drink as much water as I can stand, eat some whole grain (bread or rice or pasta) and make sure that I don't go to sleep while the room is spinning. So that might suck, but definitely don't fall asleep when everything is still wobbly. You can take caffeine pills in the morning.

Ooo! And replace the electrolytes. Make sure you drink gatorade or something.

oh man, spinning rooms are the worst. i almost got there the other night for the first time in a long time. i agree 100%, rice, whole-grain bread, and decent pasta are all great things for sopping up the alcohol in your system.

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS

There is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent a hangover, unless you just don't drink at all. If you're going to get one, you're going to get one.

My advice...

Drink a few glasses of water before you go to bed. You get hangovers, mostly because of dehydration. Drinking water will help tame that. Also, eat something right before you go to bed. A sandwich, some pizza...it doesn't matter, as long as you eat it right before you go to bed.

Everybody has different reactions to drinking alcohol, so you're going to have to experiment with hangover remedies to find the one that works for you.

Personally, I find that a soda from McDonald's usually helps. And, no...I'm not kidding.
