XY = Males?? Usually, not always. Story of an XY karyotype giving birth....

This story is for all the transphobic and biofascists of this board, that use chromosomal sex to refute the identities of transsexuals as women, thinking sex is defined solely by what pair of chromosomes you got....when that may be usually the case, but definitely not always.

"A 46,XY mother who developed as a normal woman underwent spontaneous puberty, reached menarche, menstruated regularly, experienced two unassisted pregnancies, and gave birth to a 46,XY daughter with complete gonadal dysgenesis. "

Good for her? :dunno: There was a point here, I'm sure. I cannot be bothered with what it was though.

TT posting yet another gender/sex story. How completely original...

Andro, thanks for never ignoring my posts...is very good to know information is reaching out to those intended for and those reluctantly in need of it:)
So I hope next time you (or anyone) pass judgement on someone, because you learned in kindergarden that xy=male and xx=female, you remember what you learned from tt @ freeones. Take care sweetie, and much love. No hard feelings. :glugglug:

Yeah, because using a extremely rare abnormality to try and change the way everything else is defined when the way it's commonly done works and makes sense both in a practice and scientific sense is a lot better.

It's so nice when a message reaches its target audience.:)

Let me clarify something to you. The condition mentioned above is a form of intersexuality (one of dozens different conditions in which sex cannot be easily determined), which is far more common than transsexuality. Therefore not an "extremely rare abnormality." The number of transsexual people compared to the general population, also could be described as an "extremely rare abnormality." Therefore when it comes to challenging the sex of this individuals, we have to also look at other exceptions to the rule, because transsexuals are exceptions to the rule. Studies have shown that transsexuals have female neuron numbers http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10843193, which would qualify as an intersex condition as well, because brain sex is one of the many ways females differentiate from males. And pretty much the reason males and females look/act so different is not because "men are from mars and women from venus" or chromosomes, is merely the result of chemicals called: hormones.

For you to say that this "works and makes sense" is indicative that you are ignorant on this subject, yet very opinionated about. Far too many people are assigned the wrong gender at birth, and as result, legally and socially castigated for it, apparently more than you realize.

Er... there is no target audience here, Scooter. Have you noticed the lack of attention given to this thread? It appears to me that nobody has posted a positive response yet. Why? Because the thread topic is irrelevant here. I have nothing against them, mind you. But I don't give a pogo-stickin' purple pope fuck about the hormones or chromosomes of transgendered people. And clearly, I'm not alone.

Also, it appears that you only post topics as a means of arguing with other members who have dissenting opinions (virtually all of them). Just sayin'...

Additionally, to the OP, no one here is judging you, or being a jackass about your gender/sexuality. People just have an issue with the fact that you post nothing but provocative articles with soft evidence and then argue with everyone who responds.

Chill out. There's plenty of Transexual traffic here on FreeOnes. Go find it.

Sweetheart, if you "don't give a pogo-stickin' purple pope fuck about the hormones or chromosomes of transgendered people," then why can't you simply ignore a thread that obviously does not interest you??:dunno:
Why you have to click and read my links and post just to let me know how uninteresting they are?? Are you one of those people that have written ignorant things in the past that this post is refering to?? Otherwise why can't you ignore it??
I don't post here often, my last post here was more than a month ago, yet seems like that is more than enough to annoy you. How about you go post and reply to subjects that interest you, and leave mines alone??;)

OMG, this is fantastic. The people this post is intended for are definitely paying attention. LOL
I just got a rep from Andro, saying that anyone can choose a topic to respond...absolutely true...but if you claim something is uninteresting, yet out of all the topics to discuss you go ahead and click on that one...umm one must wonder....

And SimplexDesign, my main follower, thank you for your rep remarks as usual...I see you're reading..good for you. I understand you and some others cannot shoot the message, so lets shoot the messenger.:)

No, I said "Anyone can post on any topic they choose." If you're going to bitch and moan about something, at least be accurate. It's rep for fuck's sake, it's not gold bullion. Quit whining.

Ok, so...
'normal sexual differentiation in 46,XY individuals relies on a complex cascade of numerous genes, many of which have yet to be identified.Defects in these genes can cause disorders of sexual development of varying severity.'

Thats what I learned today.
Having complete gonadal dysgenesis doesnt sound too fun though.
