Xbox One X

comes out on Nov. 7th.

Anyone picking this up? It's the equivalent to a mid-range or slightly higher gaming pc (without that bloated OS) performance wise. 4K output at 60 fps with HDR has arrived on consoles. The Ultra HD Blu-Ray player sealed the deal for me. Have it pre-ordered and getting it at launch.

I'm a *** and Christmas is just around the corner.

There's not a Chance in hell it runs every game in 4k at 60 fps.

it doesn't, the games already out are getting patched to be enhanced but it's the games coming out now on, in particular the AAA and first party titles that will, like ***** 7 for instance.

Call of Duty WWII and Assassins Creed Origins are the first games I'm getting for this bad boy. I'm talking about myself, not the machine.

Besides the specs and performance, is there much of a difference between the Xbox One S and One X? I have an One S and happy fine with it. Especially the 4K Blu Ray player.

I never used the Xbox one S but compared to my PS4 pro there is a significant difference in native 4K output alone. Everything is just sharper of course including higher detailed textures. Then there's that 60 fps.

I'm playing Call of Duty: WWII and there are times when it looks like I'm watching a live action movie instead of a rendered image. The HDR effect with life-like colors - sometimes it's like I'm looking through an open window into an actual real live space instead of at a TV screen.

I'm going to walmart today and picking up a couple of 4K blu-ray movies.

If people are going to be buying this for the 4k aspect when the price of a 4k television is taken into account it makes me wonder why at that point somebody shouldn't just go out and buy a good PC that will be better at pretty much everything then the new Xboxes? The only thing I could see is wanting any exclusive Xbox games to run on it, but I don't think that would be enough to shell out the money for the system just to have those at 4k.

If was just strictly gaming, I'd agree. But for someone who already has a 4K tv or will be getting one (there won't be a choice but 4k) I want to play games that maximize that display. And there's the included 4K blu ray player which on it's own costs hundreds of dollars.

To me, I'd rather be kicked back on the couch playing Call of Duty WWII on a 55 inch in native 4K at a solid smooth 60fps and HDR enabled than sitting at a desktop.
