What kind of sound do you mean? Beatles? Hip Hop?
Hip Hop, STDiva. Especially rap and the R&B stuff. I have been listening to it for years every day. At work it is all they played, at College where I am it is the same. I am talking years now. It is the same tap beat with the same type vocals. All the same. The rap is such a lot of words it is pretty impressive these people have so much to blabber about. What is equally impressive is how the people remember them.
It is the same type of sound, kind of like with trance and house and whatever else is listened to. In every home, every car, it was doefdoefdoefdoefdoefdoefdoefdoef non stop.
I think it is a different culture to what I grew up with. Maybe people appreciate the culture that is the influence in Hip Hop, rap, R&B.
As a musician myself I notice that the same drumbeat of hand clap or tap sound is used in every song on every CD that is produced by every artist of this genre. Well, almost.
I am guessing that is what grated my cheese straightaway. Kind of like having spaghetti all week, then being offered it when you go visit someone.
OK. I will listen to the band, simply because they are hugely respected.
An acquaintance at College makes his own rap, a song of which he played for us last week. I noticed the energy in it, because I opened my heart and ears.
You know it is kinda funny especially considering the Beatles are still popular, after all these years, even if they did make, as John Lennon said when asked "How is Paul McCartney doing?", "Oh, he's probably making silly little love songs". (After that Paul McCartney wrote 'Silly Love Songs" in response
"You'd think that people would have had enough of silly love songs.
But I look around me and I see it isn't so.
Some people wanna fill the world with silly love songs.
And what's wrong with that?
I'd like to know, 'cause here I go again
I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you"
Nice pimped Cadillac muzak though! Huh. Ain't bad. Thanks.
