I would definitely date someone with opposing political views, but I don't know if I could marry someone who's views were at the total opposite end of the spectrum from mine. I'm not so sure that love can overcome complete ideological differences. With marriage, that person is supposed to be your partner throughout life. How can the partnership really work, if the aims of each person are different? I suppose you could avoid talking about politics altogether, but when it comes to raising ********, opposing value systems are going to cause problems (I would assume, but I'm not married or have ********).
