I wouldn't take anything that's expired... But I can't speak from experience.

I was led to believe that ALL medical perscriptions are dangerous, once the expiry date has passed...

Before you pop things into your body, it is best to be safe and not do anything when you don't know what their effects will be.

only one way to find out.....

lol im kidding, dont touch it... they often make experation labels for a reason

In yesterdays paper, it said that the medical community have found a link between taking Viagara and strokes (of the eye) 14 cases reported altogether, doesn't sound much but i dont think i'd take it.

So sex can make you blind

Would you drink expired milk or expired cheese? I sure wouldnt

In my mind I just don't see something in pill form actually going bad. Something like food tends to get exposed to the air which carries molds and disease that eat away and degrade. Something like a pill is just a chunk of chemicals waiting to react. It’s a bit more inert than food out in the open. Don’t pills have some kind of coating anyway? If you had a battery which said ‘Best used by 2003’, it has past ‘expiration’ but you’d try it anyway. It’s just lost some kick.

Well, that’s just how I see it. Probably just some FDA bull. Or jut my general hate for modern medicine. Doctor's don't have a clue as to what's going on most of the time.

Where’d you get it anyway? Why not just ‘acquire’ some new stuff from where you got whatever you have?

Okey - dokey:

You must not take medicine after the expiry date shown on the packaging. If you have any unused medicine, return it to your pharmacist who will dispose of it safely.

Thank you and have a nice day.:)

I'm a chemist by trade.

Yes, the API (active pharma. ingredient) in the drug itself will degrade over time. There is an expiration date for a reason. There are also many cross reactions that can occur over time (I'm not going to get into any Organic chemistry here).

Pharma. companies complete stability studies over a range of dates/conditions (temp. and humidity) to determine expiration dates.

While, I cannot say if it would be dangerous to take, I can say that an expired Viagra tablet will not have the same effect as a new tablet, which is not expired. Therefore, it is not wise to take an expired tablet.

Ya, well what do I know. Just leave me with the 5 second rule.

If it doesn't do anything, you got nothing to worry about. If it kills you, you also got nothing to worry about. :D
