In my mind I just don't see something in pill form actually going bad. Something like food tends to get exposed to the air which carries molds and disease that eat away and degrade. Well, that’s just how I see it. Probably just some FDA bull. Or jut my general hate for modern medicine. Doctor's don't have a clue as to what's going on most of the time.

Yes, the API (active pharma. ingredient) in the drug itself will degrade over time. There is an expiration date for a reason. There are also many cross reactions that can occur over time (I'm not going to get into any Organic chemistry here).
Pharma. companies complete stability studies over a range of dates/conditions (temp. and humidity) to determine expiration dates.
While, I cannot say if it would be dangerous to take, I can say that an expired Viagra tablet will not have the same effect as a new tablet, which is not expired. Therefore, it is not wise to take an expired tablet.
