I like cats, but I'm fascinated by sharks.

As a whole, and in the world in general, I would go dog. It's the #1 animal that is used by humans, as pets/therapy/jobs. Name any animal on that list that cam be trained to fetch a beer from the fridge or kill a terrorist.

Personally though, the Platypus is my fav. No contest.
