Woman claims yogurt sample was bodily fluid
A woman shopping at a northern Albuquerqe grocery store claims the yogurt sample she was given contained “bodily fluids”.
The woman was shopping at the Sunflower Market on Tuesday night, when she was given a sample of yogurt. She told police, as soon as she tasted the yogurt, she spit it out because it tasted like semen, reports KXAN news.
The police were called around 9 p.m. and discovered the man giving out the samples had two outstanding bench warrants . The employee, 31-year-old Anthony Garcia, was arrested for the warrants but police could not do anything with Garcia about the “yogurt” sample because it needed to be sent out for testing.
Detectives said if testing proves there was semen in the yogurt the worker could be charged with battery. Police said that is the same charge someone gets when they spit in food, reports KXAN news.
