Wolverine's OCSM of the Year Contest Winners

I actually agree with this. I think most of the voting done is based on favorites and popularity, not so much the girls' efforts. There could be a girl who does a ton of work, puts in tons of time, effort, and money, and hardly gets recognized for it. Meanwhile, there are girls who get recognized simply for being popular. It's like high school all over again.

Harley it's one of the reasons I started this thing about 4 years ago. I noticed alot of the OCSMs would pop on for Miss FreeOnes just to win the money and then be absent for the rest of the year. I was the guy who was a reaction to the contest. I sent emails to Petra suggesting a Best OCSM category get set up so the board people here would actually vote someone who actually participates. Myself along with others championed the cause and it became a reality. I feel like the contest is sort of moot now that the category is in place. However, there is still some slight injustice being carried out as well as people like seeing the stats, so I've kept it going with no incentive.

Doesn't seem moot at all to me.

Ultimately if someone is looking to support those who support the board, I think this is a valuable tool for who to vote for come Miss FreeOnes. Hopefully you or someone else will bump this and make it quite clear who's been putting the time and effort in when things start rolling...

And since I don't think I actually came right out and said it yet, thanks for the contribution and the work you put into it. :thumbsup:

I think is hard to measure, but quantity is not synonym of quality.

This is true. Actually it wouldn't be hard to measure at all. All you'd have to do for this contest to figure out whether a girl is posting quality stuff or posting spammy/promotional stuff is to look at the "View Latest Posts" link on our profile pages. Browse around it all the way back to whichever date you'd like, and in the case of this contest, that'd be for the last year. So it wouldn't be difficult to do, just a bit time consuming.

In the Best Newcomer Category, the winner is Natalie Vegas, who debuted on August 22, 2013. She has 214 posts in 4 months. That's pretty impressive. There were only 6 possible nominees in this category this year, as several of the newcomers to the board this year dropped off after only a month or less of posting or dropped out for over 3 months of posting on the board. There were 57 new OCSMs between November 2012 and December 2013. That's a pretty small number of ladies staying active. Maybe 2014 will bring them back?
