Wii outsells 360, PS3 and PSP combined!

From my limited experiences with the wii I think it sucks. The graphics are just atrocious and the games aren't fun for more than 5 minutes. Unless your drunk then you can enjoy them for 10 minutes...15 tops.
Nintendo hasn't had any good games at all since the N64 and at that there were only a couple (Goldeneye, best multiplayer game evar!!!). Game cube was complete garbage. Nintendo really should have quit after they made Super NES. Everything past that really wasn't worth my time.

Wii is a social fad. 40-somethings are buying it, kids want one... then turn around and pawn it for an ACTUAL system. (360, PS3)
I see it all the time. People dont even have a good reason for wanting a Wii. They're just following the crowd. (I have a part-time job at a video game store) Adults and kids alike come in wanting a wii, ask about the games.. try it out.. yeah, using a pointer/motion sensitive controller is intuitive for a few games.. but it's awful in the long run. It's better as a teaching tool or physical therapy helper than even a SOFTcore gaming machine. The rare, RARE amount of first-party nintendo games is far better than all the complete shit being thrown onto the machine. For every metroid.. there are a dozen shovelware titles that dont even live up to the 'half hour of fun' mantra we all say about Wii games.
Do yourself a favor.. try a friend's nintendo console before actually buying one. It's not as awesome as you think. Definitely not fun in the long-term. Buy a PS3 and save yourself the hassle. Even your kids wont like it like they thought. It's a neon-hair troll, a wrist-slapper bracelet, shoes with pumps, a tickle-me elmo! A FAD!

I agree with all you guys, got the piece of shit because it was cheap and possibly intriguing. Now its sitting around gathering dust. It was a novel idea the first couple of weeks and then the fun began to wear off. Got Wii Fit, again interesting for a little while then not so much. Im sticking with my loyal PS2, until I can afford an upgrade.

You can still pawn it for near-retailer prices. Sell your PS2,(40-70$) Wii (150-200) and buy a PS3 with backwards-compatibility. Easy fix. Plus you can play the next-generation movie titles. (BluRay)

Indeed! A self-contained console! No need for memory cards (swapping, at least).. no cords, easy to lug around...great games, great capabilities. Nice screen, nice price.

Personally, I think the Wii has 3 alright games... Metroid (I don't mind the FPS platforming style, it's fun with this game), Zelda and Smash Bros (even though I haven't played the Wii SB, I'm sure it's fine). Definitely not enough to justify purchasing one. PS3 and 360 are both great systems, although I had to go with a 360 due to Forza 2. I could not live sanely without that game. I know alot of overweight/obese people who want Wii's simply because of Wii Fit, and probably because of the fact you're active while playing video games in general. Shit, I'm overweight, but I go out and exercise to do something about it. I don't need some stupid ass video game to do this. Nothing better than going for a long walk with crisp, fresh air or lifting some weights anyway.

Never played perfect dark. As for being active playing video games...fuck that! I wanna sit on my lazy ass and play em. Only time I stand is for rockband.
If there is any way at all you can give Perfect Dark a try, it would be worth it. The multiplayer is far more extensive than 007, and from what I remember faster paced - if that's your thing. I don't play those music games, but I do agree with you about your being active playing video games comment
Man ps3 owns i say. i play it hours on end everyday, an iv had it for a while now, the whole music on it, your own videos on it, pictures on it, easy internet, easy to setup internet games, shit man, its like 'gods vagina'
