Why do the inserted photos on my replies keep disappearing?

I'm new to posting on the board and this has happened twice now. Just wondering if there is something I'm doing wrong. I insert a photo when replying, preview it before posting and it shows up fine, but once it is approved and I revisit the thread, the pic does not show up. Any help would be appreciated.

Links? The last few posts I see where you added an image, I can see the image. imgur is garbage, so don't use that site, if you are. They decided to block our traffic for some crazy reason.
