If they say "no homo" they should wipe the imaginary love custard off their grill. At least they unclenched their teeth from the pillow long enough to utter the two words.
Sometimes I say stuff that could potentially be taken as a pun, but that's not my intent so I say "No pun intended" to point that out. When I intentionally pun I usually put the pun in italics and end the sentence with this:

The people that are worse are the slime that have to throw the quote marks up in the air with their fingers every ten seconds. Ladies with long fake nails especially enrage me with this practice. If I chopped their hands off they'd probably still try to wave their bloody stumps in the air just to be cute. At least I know the life will eventually run out of them. Wish I had a chalice to drink their blood to cement their fate.

No I think sometimes there was really no pun intended. But also yes, sometimes people just use the words "no pun intened" to actually emphasize the pun.

This sounds little bit similar to behaviour where people start by saying "no offence, but" always means that person is going to say something offensive...
"God bless you" after a sneeze really gives me the red ass.
