Well I can't speak for everyone but I always want to know their name so that I can name the file their pictures are going in to.
Models typically have careers that can span days, weeks, months or hopefully years. To find out that information and to find more content you need the name they model under. Which can be one of literally dozens.
As far as their "real" name goes I really don't care a whole lot other than it can be interesting. Like Aria Giovanni's is *************; same person, different name and a different way of looking at someone that you've grown accustomed to.

I'm a pack rat and without a way to I.D. models, all I'd have would be a bunch of random pictures in random folders. For a long time, I had no idea what Sara Jay's name was. I just knew she was this energetic, busty blonde with a fantastic butt. So I made up some nickname for her as a way to file pics and vid clips.

Because they have a fan base just like your favorite music artists, silly... would you prefer we give them a numbers & letters identification similar to what's stamped on a license plate... would that be easier to remember?

Not quite as frequent as the Securities & Exchange office did during and before the '08 stock market turbulence.
I like to know their names so I can look up more movies they were in, and to become familiar.
