Who or what defines morality?

I'm playing Spider Man on PS4 and while breaking into the corrupt mayor's office, the web crusader quips, "Definitely an ******* but moral B&E."

What determines what is moral, i.e., right and wrong? Is it based on majority opinion?

Morality is about morality is you and your consciousness, your soul. it's about knowing right from wrong and the choice you make between the two. If you knowingly pick Wrong, you have no morals.

But that's just MY peronal interpretation...

But great evil has been done throughout history by individuals who believe what they were doing was right, from the common criminal in my prior example to someone responsible for the ****** of millions. I get the conscience argument but again, is everyone's the same?

Do you really think people like Hitler and Stalin thought that killi,ng millions of people, sending them to concentration camp or to the gulag was right ? I think they knew, deep inside themselves, that it was wrong but that they did it anyway.

Maybe, or maybe they sincerely believed it was for the greater good.

There are people in the world today who will strap bombs to themselves and **** themselves and as many others as possible for what they believe is a righteous act.
