Who is the best narrator?

Who would you say is the best narrator from stuff like documentaries or science shows, reality shows stuff like that

David Attenborough (voice of the BBC)
Peter Coyote (voice of National Geographic)
Mike Rowe (voice of Discovery Channel)
Morgan Freeman (voice of the penguins and wormholes)
Alec Baldwin (voice of the Tenenbaums and cavemen)
Bill Kurtis (voice of unsolved crimes)
Edward Herrmann (voice of the History Channel)
Richard Kiley (the man who made being a narrator an art form)
Keith David (voice of the Navy and fallen empires)

Off the top of my head, these were the best I could think of. I could seriously listen to them read about the different textures of spooge and find it relaxing.

You mean there's people narrating things whose name isn't Morgan Freeman?!? Well, sonofabitch, I never knew!

Sam Elliott (Voice of the...it doesn't matter, it's Sam fucking Elliott).

For the EMPEROR!!
David Attenborough - (of course)
Morgan Freeman - (I like that dude and his style)
Alistair Duncan - (from 'Germany's War and others)
Samuel West
Hugh Quarshie

And of course, Carl Sagan. Who had his own 'unique' style.

Those are just a few.

Some great ones mentioned but Peter Thomas (Forensic Files, Nova) has to be right there at the top of the list in my view. I also have to say that Bill Kurtis is awesome.

I forgot to mention Kenneth Branagh. His narration of "Walking With Dinosaurs" and "Walking With Monsters" was awesome.

And Linda Hunt, I enjoyed her narration/voice-overs in the God of War games.

This probably doesn't count but the best narrator/voice I have ever heard is from a guy named Jim Fagan. Mostly remembered for saying "This is the NBA on NBC" and his voice over work in the video game GTA 4, the radio station "Just Or Unjust". That guy has an amazing voice. Just amazing. Orson Welles is another very strong candidate.

Oh yeah, forgot he did that one and yes, he did a damn fine job.

Another one that was good was Liev Schreiber. He did America: The Story of Us and Ape to Man
