A tyranny from a single authoritarian figure or a tyranny of the masses?
I read a book a couple of years ago about the French Revolution and of the absolute murderous madness that ensued with mass executions via the guillotine (the french razor) and the paranoia that went with it. It was a foreshadow of what we would see with revolutions of the masses to come (Bolsheviks). History shows the masses (who are for the most part mouth-breathing fucking morons) are just as bad or worse than a single tyrant. So naturally, the sweet spot would be somewhere in-between right? What is that saying? "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch and liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."
