Why save the world, when you can rule it?
Well, assuming that it's cheaper to tackle the problem light-handedly rather than simply imprison offenders, which should we choose?

Take example 1: It has been shown that treating a **** offenders addiction with therapy is cheaper than guarding against, arresting and imprisoning said addict when it comes to theft and other **** related offences.

So should we give them therapy because it's cheaper and more effective (effect)?
Or should we imprison them at greater cost because they have commited crimes and must be punished harshly?

I won't be passing judgement, I just want to see how you feel.
