Tim Hortons sells coffee and doughnuts primarily - but the doughnuts are good, way, way better than any doughnut I've encountered anywhere in the States. They also now serve sandwiches and soups and such. It is good, plain, standard grub.

What is nice is that you can get exactly the same cup of coffee anywhere in the country. If a town has more than about 500 people, there is at least one Tim Hortons. Not stellar coffee, but palatable and consistent country wide.

thanks for the breakdown on that. i feel silly that i hadnt heard of it cos i have quite a few canadian friends via work. my GF and i are debating a vacation spot for our summer vacation and a British Columbia wilderness visit is one of the possibilities. still in debate though, but if we go, i guess i'm gonna have to do a hortons visit :glugglug:
