From Jersey Shore to Pawn Stars to The Big Break to Teen Mom to all of the Kardashian shows,
plus the hundred or so not mentioned.

Which is your favorite or favorites?

PawnStars is a fave. Bourdain's "No Reservations" isn't technically a reality show, but it's reality. I loved "Ace of Cakes", but I'm glad that they realized it was time to pull the plug.

And people can save the stories of how PawnStars is staged. It may very well be, but the items are cool and they are why I watch.

thats the thing about these shows. none of them are real.

go ahead, put a camera somewhere thats even actually exciting to us. it'll be a piece of shit show.

it would be nice if they gave them another name besides "reality" because some people think these are actually real. in fact, i bet a ton of you guys do too.

watch it for the acting if you have to, not the reality of it. just saying.

For the EMPEROR!!
I can't stand the 99.9% of the so-called Reality Shows, but the only one I used to like was Deadliest Catch, but after Capt Phil Harris died I stopped watching.

All the other ones like, "The Best" this and "The Next Top" that, should be hurled into the Sun.

i did finally see some of the deadliest catch after all these years. this isnt your typical "reality" show though. granted, its a little prompted at times, and you know everyones acting more than they should but its close. its not as exciting as they make it, btw.

fishing is tough shit but its not THAT exciting. its called editing and bugging the hell out of people to piss them off.

"Deadliest Catch" is an experiment that got out of the lab. It wasn't supposed to be "exciting" as much as to show the danger and the incredibly hard work that the job entails. And then it went on, season after season. I'm a viewer, so I'm not complaining. But yeah, stick a camera in my face for this long and give me a fan base, I'll start worrying more about the story than the reality (and so would anyone).

Does Undercover Boss count? Otherwise I've got nothing. I liked the earlier Amazing Races (the first 3), I quit watching after that.

I enjoy watching many different cooking type programs but as they fall more into the cooking program genre I suppose they wouldn't count. I consider them to be a form of reality television none-the-less. I had enjoyed Survivor quite a lot, once upon a time, now though, I guess, my favorite would be Intervention or Hoarders. :2 cents:
