Weird attraction/orientation

So, i have been thinking about something and I wonder if I am not the only one. I consider myself a straight woman (my orientation has been "fluid" in the past), BUT I do NOT like "straight" porn... I only get aroused by lesbian porn. Anyone else have something similar, or an i just a weirdo (which wouldn't surprise me in the least).

Psychosexually speaking it makes sense. A lot of us get aroused from visuals where our brain makes the connection between what we see and the feelings that we would associate with it. A lot of straight porn is shot for the visuals of what straight guys like to look at and which the subconscious brain of a lady would make no connections of pleasure whatsoever - there is usually emphasis on the blowjob, the male-on-female oral is usually all over the place, and the lady usually is on the receiving end of an external popshot. It's got not a whole lot in common with the kind of sex that most regular straight ladies tend to enjoy with their fellas in real life (from what I can tell and have been told). Girl/girl usually features more foreplay and caressing and "warming up" and by its very nature features more of the sex which will trigger your brain thinking "I know what that feels like" and subsequent arousal. Plus, no hairy man ass.

In one respect I think I should have been born a lesbian. I don't like going straight into the genital contact either, I like lots of kissing and touchy-touchy so both of us are completely electrified before the rude bits even come into play. As it is, if I'm watching video, though I enjoy girl/girl, I usually have to graduate to boy/girl in the end. My subconscious association with that penis on the screen is just too strong. I go off when it goes off.

Why would you be a weirdo?! You like what you like. As long as it's nothing illegal and/or you're not hurting yourself or others, you're good to go. Who cares? Fuck all that labelling.

Yeah, this. Forget what I said. I was probably just looking for an excuse to wax lyrical about wishing I was a lesbian.

I think what Stiffy said regarding the aesthetics of porn makes a lot of sense. Moreover, women being into women is not unusual at all, not now or historically.

But I think I may have a truly odd situation for you, in that it kinda came outta nowhere.

I used to be a fan of comic-book illustrator Patrick Fillion's stuff about 10 years ago, back when he worked for Avatar Comics, drawing a series called Avengelyne. It was pretty basic comic-book fare, as per Wikipedia: "Avengelyne is an angel who fights the forces of evil and often finds herself face-to-face with demons, monsters, and the like. The original character design for Avengelyne was based on the likeness of former Vampirella model Cathy Christian."

So one day I was bored and decided to do a web-search for Fillion to see what he was up to, and let's just say that what he's doing now is way different than what he did in the past. If you're interested, you can find his portfolio at PatrickFillionDotCom. (I'd correctly write it out, but I'm not sure about the rules regarding linking to other people's websites, and I don't feel like getting myself banned.) As a heads-up, again per Wikipedia: "Fillion's series characters are primarily young, muscled males with improbably large penises. Ethnically diverse, they find themselves in a plethora of dangerous and sexual situations [mostly of a homoerotic nature], often involving equally sexualized aliens and supervillains."

And yet, I couldn't help but look at his website. I still check it out on a regular basis. How do I explain that? I can't. In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter? Not really, I guess.
