In perhaps the most significant move to date to bring virtual reality technology to the consumer mass market, Samsung has announced the latest version of its Gear VR device — priced at an affordable $99.

The device is half the price of its $199 predecessor, and supports Samsung’s entire 2015 smartphone line, including the Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+, which contrasts to the more limited support for smartphone models offered by the previous generation of Gear VR — making the technology much more accessible for mainstream users.

Now this is interesting. I wasn't really feeling the whole VR porn thing until I checked out Premium Link Upgrade recently. (FreeOnes review Premium Link Upgrade )

Also being a Nintendo 3DS owner has also got me into this 3D thing. There's also a pretty epic looking VR sim (game? scene?) that has me throwing my money at my screen. I would rather go Samsung than Occulus personally. The google ******* is big enough if you ask me.


Anyone interested in this stuff?

I am curious how fast this technology will move. I want to grab this, but will we be looking at this next year and be laughing?
