Apparently there is a chance that the UN brought in cholera with them, all aid workers should've been screened before they entered this disaster zone. I worry about the future of a country that still believes so strongly in voodoo, it hasn't protected them from earthquakes and cholera and will only hinder their rebuilding process.

Haiti seems to be more progressive than I thought when they are setting this good example and start killng the clergy.

Many practice both. The slaves from West Africa that ended up in Haiti brought voodoo with them and continued to practice it. More often than not when people convert to a new religion they often stick to old habits like we have many pagan ceremonies celebrated such as Halloween yet most of the people will call themselves christian yet both are not exactly compatible. I think the earthquake has also brought many many to turn to old voodoo practices as people often turn to anything spiritual when they are in desperation with only a bleak future in sight.
