Do you follow any particular diet plan ?

If so why ?

√ Doctor's Directive

√ Popular Belief -i.e.- Via magazine article(s), news etc.

√ Well read and learned in the sciences, specifically relating to matters of human health.

√ Other -

Also - Do you regularly purchase your supplements through a specialty / Health Food store ?
Are grocery store vitamins lesser ? Maybe even "sawdust pills "?

While doing my very best to fulfill the suggested daily allowances of food / nutrient intake and making it a desirable policy to never eat fast foods,
I have to come to the belief that anti oxidants are almost always complementary to the human body when / as / if taken in greater than "recommended" quantities.

Specifically -

√ Ascorbic Acid i.e. - Vitamin C in its purest form

√ Vitamin E

Also - I take a minute (200mcg) amount of Selenium . . .

What's your take on it ?

Additonally - What fruits & veggies do you most commonly include in your diet ? Are you able to find these goods on a year round basis, or are they somewhat seasonal ?

(I) am always a bit paranoid in ref to this "SHAFTA" aka - NAFTA / GATT deal, here, in the states. Said political deal (of which we could discuss in the breadth of another thread) - has increased the aggregate inflow / exportation of foreign produce - the majority of it, grown / farmed in third world countries (mainly in the South Americas). These nations do not employ the "high standards" of which had been mandatory to / for domestic farming practices.

We're essentially exporting "goods" which quite possibly could be farmed with certain pesticides etc. of which have been deemed "harmful" (even in trace amounts) for human consumption. To boot, I'm sure we've heard about common farming practices (in the South Americas) which include "unfinished" human waste matl in the mix (?)

The astonishing irony here - "our" very government, which created such strict / comprehensive domestic legislation, completely 180ºs that, only to cave, for greater under th' table / campaign contribution funding.
Oh, sure ! exports are cheaper . . . . who actually garners these "savings" ? I've never seen penny 1 on my grocery tab ! Yes, even with the recent inflation factored in.

IMO - It's just cheaper wholesale for the govt. / corporate contractors . . . of which we can also footnote to the direction of another thread titled -

"It's Cheaper . . Really ? ! • Then Where Are The Savings ?"

"Representative Government" ? Yea, representative of their own pocketbook !

Sorry for the duality of the thread ! We do our best
