Vinyl Anyone?

How many people here still listen to a good old record?
I love to sit back and put on a record... Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Tchaikovsky, you name it. It all sounds better on a vinyl record.

I still keep my 45s and my LPs but, honestly, I might as well throw them away.

I even don't use my stereo no more, I play any media from my computer

I have a bunch, but I left my player at my moms when I moved out way back when. I doubt I would listen to them anyway. All my music is played through my computer.

I still have both my vinyl records and cassettes.

Me too, more than I would like to admit owning. As for the turntable, I don't know where it went, I suppose it would be nostalgic to listen to some of my old LPs, but I don't think that the reproduction is better on vinyl than it is over the net or on CDs.
It never failed, most all of my favorite songs on vinyl developed annoying scratches running through them... that I don't miss!

A year goes by fast after moving away, huh? :1orglaugh

I like to think I am old school. I've resisted using a MP3 or Ipod, in fact I don't know what the fuck is the difference. I actually buy CDs, which apparently is not as widespread anymore as I thought. I like to listen to them in my car, but my friends keep telling me they make some kind of contraption to play your Iphone in your car. I even have some cassettes, some of which are me recording shit off the radio back in the day cuz I couldn't afford a CD player and CDs. And I am probably younger than all y'all.

......But not even I listen to vinyl.

See, the beauty with iPods or other MP3 players is, you can have 3000 c.d's in your car, without having your c.d's in your car. I love buying c.d's too, but I throw it on my computer almost immediately. I love being able to press random and listen to all of my c.d's without having to put them all in individually. Get with the times, man.

Got a huge collection which I had to leave in Sweden when I moved.

There is no substitute for a well kept vinyl record.

Man... I just realised that I got a crapload of ZZ Top on vinyl collecting dust!!! :bawling:

For the EMPEROR!!
I've a few old vinyl records stored in the attic, but I haven't listened to them in "donkeys years".

Eveythings on CD, for me, these days.

Shit!! I forgot about that. It gets hot as hell here in the summers.
I'll have to have to check, although they're packed away pretty good. I haven't given them a second thought since I put them up there.

I´ve got a couple of hundred albums on vinyl but my turntable isn´t working any more, so i can´t listen to them (i´ve got most of the albums on cd anyway so it doesn´t really matter).

a couple of crates

Cd/MP3 is the ultimate versatility but doesn't compare to vinyl when it comes to listening pleasure

you know this
