well epic has a long standing of giving back to the gamer. They are awsome at support. The Unreal series is an awsome fast paced game. I have not played a single one i didnt like. This one will definately give you a bang for your buck.

it is the fastest paced first person shooter around. if your into killing other people online get it.

Damn. I remember back in the day when the demo of Unreal 1 woulda taken up maybe 100 megs. :scratches head:

Ah well, one day it'll be a dozen times worse s'far as filesize goes. Go figure this, within the next ten years a FPS that takes up a whole HD-DVD disc. lol

yeah i picked it up on the 360 and it translated well onto console oh and they have dedicated servers in the uk

Is it as crap as the PS3 version?

I don't know why someone would want to play such a fast-paced, accuracy-demanding FPS on a console.

On the PS3 the game speed was actually slowed down by 20% and tons of stuff was taken out. Even the graphics were the equivalent of pretty low down on the PC version.

Considering how insanely fast the game is and how quickly you get killed, I would never want to play the game on a console where you have to use a little analog stick to aim. The sniping is SUCH a thrill in Unreal Tournament 3 and I can't imagine having that aspect of the game dumbed down to be mapped to a controller.

Also, I assume you can't import any downloaded custom content in the 360 version either, which is like half the fun of the game. There are thousands of new levels and whatnot out there that you can download for free, but I don't think this would work on 360, as I don't see how one would do it.

I know this is a bit of a rant but I find it very annoying to play dumbed-down console ports of great PC games.

But... why? I don't get it, it's $20 on the PC, superior in all ways, and you evidently already HAVE a PC. The game is very un-demanding as per requirements, and even if you're running a computer from like 1987 you can put a new video card in it capable of running all these new games for like $100.

Got it today, fucking awesome game. Shame there isn't as any mods/levels, but console FPS's means less hackers and exploiters, so I'm happy.

Yet it's still, like all cross-platform games, superior on PC for way more reasons than just controls.

And it's impossible to be as fast with an analog stick as it is with a mouse. If it was faster to aim a gun with an analog stick than by moving an object around in real 3D space, they'd make guns that you control with an analog stick.
