Underemployed

Describes me perfectly. Is anyone in this situation- where you're in a rut- you don't like the job your in and you're not learning anything, but there really isn't any other options. There are no other upward positions in the company, only lateral. Is it better than being unemployed? I know it's like - well go back to grad school - but then school isn't cheap- and I don't have the funds for that. There's no guarantees after you get out either you'll have something lined up. Then I'll be further in debt. I'm on the so-called hamster wheel, exerting energy, but not getting anywhere.

Self employment my friend, self employment. :hatsoff:

I know man, it's been a sad state of affairs after our government (both republicans and democrats) along with their corporate sidekicks, sold our employ out to the cheapest possible overseas bidder. It just goes to show that it only takes a few in order to control the masses and this is a clear example.

I'm trying to keep the mood lite, you see. \:mad:/:o

Keep your head up high Howie! :hatsoff:

Where I'm at being a postal worker is probably one of the better paying and more secure jobs. I don't know how sad that is. It might be just damning with faint praise. Not that it matters because getting one is next to impossible, and a job only opens up when somebody retires or dies. So it's about one every two decades.

There are always other options. You just need to take a step back and have a real think about what you want to achieve in life.

I truly believe that anybody can achieve anything if they really put their mind to it

I know its easier said then done.... I really need to practice what I preach...
