I would give the head of the company a choice: He can either replace all the equipment at no additional cost the taxpayer OR personally go to combat zones in Afghanistan and grind the messages off each weapon.

Well they aren't really 'murdering' in the name of Jesus Christ.. The article clearly states:
U.S. military rules specifically prohibit the proselytizing of any religion in Iraq or Afghanistan and were drawn up in order to prevent criticism that the U.S. was embarked on a religious "Crusade" in its war against al Qaeda and Iraqi insurgents.

Which in turn means that the Military had nothing to do with it and probably didn't even realize it.. It was the manufacturer responsible for it.

If you read the article you'll see the troops were supplied the weapons by a civilian contractor.

The troops themselves have nothing to do with it.
