Trump Revealed Highly Classified Info to Russians

President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week, according to current and former U.S. officials, who said Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State.

The information the president relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government, officials said.

The partner had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia, and officials said Trump’s decision to do so endangers cooperation from an ally that has access to the inner workings of the Islamic State. After Trump’s meeting, senior White House officials took steps to contain the damage, placing calls to the CIA and the National Security Agency.

“This is code-word information,” said a U.S. official familiar with the matter, using terminology that refers to one of the highest classification levels used by American spy agencies. Trump “revealed more information to the Russian ambassador than we have shared with our own allies.”

FFS  Why even bother with spies at this point

I thought Bob Beckel was going to have a heart attack or blow a blood vessel in his brain from his selective outrage over this.

I say he takes a swing at Jesse Waters and soon.

1. McMaster saying "sources and methods" is a red herring. Article doesnt say Trump revealed sources and methods to Russians.

2. How to tell WaPo have it right: They know which details Trump told Lavrov. Officials asked WaPo not to publish them. Then claim it's false but officials could not explain why staff members nevertheless felt it necessary to alert the CIA and the NSA

3. Whoever gave us that intel won't next time

Is there a more pathetic poster on FreeOnes?

No citation, no nothing.

Just steal the fucking shit.
BTW McMasters , Powell and Tillerson have quickly gone on record saying it didn't happen.

Three of the top officials in his administration.

They put their necks on the line.

WaPo has been wrong 3 times in the past 4 days.

The cuck is right. The information was revealed, team drumpf specifically denied revealing "sources and methods", but not refuting the actual content of the claims. The journo who wrote the article has already called them out for playing word games. And officials did bust out of the meeting and get straight on their phones to the CIA and NSA.

Your president is an idiot and he is costing your failing country bigly every minute that he's allowed off his leash.

Holy shit balls, I know you are stupid but I didn't think you were this stupid.

" sources and methods" is classified material.

McMaster reiterated his statement which makes it a blanket denial.

Poor mongo, he can't have an original thought because he is told what to think by the fake stream media.

Echo chamber boy.

Poor idiots. The president of the United States can declassify and divulge any information he chooses.
He can speak about any information he likes to anyone and by virtue of discussing it, it becomes declassified.

He is the ultimate authority and he trolled you fuckers and the media again when you were wetting your panties over Jim Comey.

MAGA

Suck it leftwits.

McMaster:“I was in the room. It didn’t happen"

Fast forward to this morning...

Like I said in another thread, the spokesmen have no credibility at this point. Pay no attention to what they say. Just wait until the next morning when you'll get the truth from the president's tweets

A senior European intelligence official told the Associated Press that his country might stop sharing information with the United States if it confirms that President Donald Trump shared classified details with Russian officials.

Such sharing "could be a risk for our sources," the official said.

According to Erick Erickson, the source of the leak is "very pro trump", and the revealing of classified info is far worse than reported. - http://www.salon.com/2017/05/16/eri...-leaked-on-donald-trumps-meeting-with-russia/

And yes, "sources and methods" is classified material, but it's not all of the classified material. The failure in chief saying "hey, here's something we heard" can involve the sharing of information without even touching sources and methods, but the nature of the information itself can be such that it is easy to infer sources and methods from it, as has been claimed since the start. Try again, brain trust.

You need to get a motel room with Iceman.

"Snowflake and brain trust" are what I call you, you know what they say about imitation....

Don't worry trigglypuff, no one wants to imitate you.

More classified information went out over Hillary's private server than Trump ever could think about releasing.

Here's something you need to get your head around.

Trump hasn't broken any laws.

He won't be impeached

He can disseminate classified information at his discretion.

There is no proof of collusion with Russia.

Oh and BTW..

This is my country, my president and you need to worry about your own little fucked up island nation.

You've never called me brain trust, or anyone else that I've seen here on the board, so stop taking credit for my work. And we all know you princesses on the right like to call everyone else snowflakes to try to divert attention from your daily humiliation under this global embarrassment you call a president.

And since, once again, you don't comprehend very well, nobody said he has done anything illegal, and nobody has said impeachment in this thread. What he has done is proven to US allies and the US itself that your country can't be trusted with sensitive information.

Why don't you and your little buddy fox go and make a "what drumpf's asshole must taste like" thread, and jerk each other off in there, and leave the grown ups to talk about grown up stuff.

From Erik Erickson, editor in chief and CEO of RedState:

"I tend to take these stories about the President with a grain of salt. We have seen key details of a number of salacious stories retracted within 48 hours. The media hates the President so much that they’ll run a negative story about him without very much provocation. Anti-Trump sources embedded within the administration in the career civil service, etc. will leak to the press and confirmation bias sets in.

What sets this story apart for me, at least, is that I know one of the sources. And the source is solidly supportive of President Trump, or at least has been and was during Campaign 2016. But the President will not take any internal criticism, no matter how politely it is given. He does not want advice, cannot be corrected, and is too insecure to see any constructive feedback as anything other than an attack.

So some of the sources are left with no other option but to go to the media, leak the story, and hope that the intense blowback gives the President a swift kick in the butt. Perhaps then he will recognize he screwed up. The President cares vastly more about what the press says than what his advisers say. That is a real problem and one his advisers are having to recognize and use, even if it causes messy stories to get outside the White House perimeter.

I am told that what the President did is actually far worse than what is being reported. The President does not seem to realize or appreciate that his bragging can undermine relationships with our allies and with human intelligence sources. He also does not seem to appreciate that his loose lips can get valuable assets in the field killed.

You can call these sources disloyal, traitors, or whatever you want. But please ask yourself a question — if the President, through inexperience and ignorance, is jeopardizing our national security and will not take advice or corrective action, what other means are available to get the President to listen and recognize the error of his ways?
This is a real problem and I treat this story very seriously because I know just how credible, competent, and serious — as well as seriously pro-Trump, at least one of the sources is."

Erick Cuckerson was the leader of the Never Trump movement. He took it to the mountain. His motives should be questioned. Of course libs love it because to them he is just another Republican and they all look alike, you know.

You could replace Trump with that quote and replace it with Obama and be just as accurate if not more so.
In fact, it was said about Obama by insiders how bullheaded he was.
