Trump Paid Hush Money to Porn Star to Buy Silence Over Affair

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Donald Trump‘s attorney arranged for a $130,000 payment to an adult film star to buy her silence over a sexual encounter she had with Trump.

According to the WSJ, Michael Cohen arranged payment to Stephanie Clifford a month before the 2016 election. Clifford goes by the stage name Stormy Daniels. The affair with Trump allegedly took place in 2006, after Trump married his third wife Melania.

The bigger question : Who issues the Form 1099 MISC to Stormy Daniels? -- Donald Trump or Michael Cohen? I wonder if Trump reports the $130,000 payment through his corporations as legal fees. And Cohen's firm issues it to Stormy Daniels. Because that is a no-no. (That's how federal prosecutors got Sheldon Silver, the ex-Speaker of the New York State Assembly)

Anyway, the Internal Revenue Service wants to know.

2) He doesn’t have to report it. It can be combined expenses.
