BTW, I just heard something on NPR about voters that had and the took the opportunity to vote twice in 2000.

It seems as that if you moved to Florida from NY, NY would send you an absentee ballot. Even though you had a voter card in Florida. 14,000 independents, 12,000 republicans and 48,000 democrats voted twice. No wonder it was so close.
