Even if torture was effective, which it isn't, that's irrelevant. Just because some might work doesn't suddenly turn something that's wrong and evil into something that's okay. The ends don't justify the means even if the means can make something happen.

So where's your proof? Ultimately, it doesn't matter if its effective or not, it's illegal according to the United States Constitution, the Geneva Conventions, International Law, and the Law of Armed Combat.
