I've been pissed off that Nintendo hasn't released anything worth buying in the past 2 months. The last game I bought was Punch-Out!. Only time I play the Wii is when a few friends come over and want to goof off with Wii Sports or play some Brawl.

Can anyone think of any other games coming out this year or next worth buying? Metroid Prime Trilogy should be great - comes out next month. Other than that I'm drawing a blank.

The wii is hit or miss. I bought a Wii and I haven't even played it more than twice. I need to buy Mario Galaxy. I like to play video games as a way to relax for the weekend or after a long and shitty day at work. Jumping around and swinging remotes is not very relaxing.

I read that a new Zelda is coming out, as well as a Mario Galaxy Sequel. I just bought NiGHTS but I haven't played it yet.

I ordered a Wii from my aunties home shopping catalogue yesterday. I have Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii. I got it a while back as I planned on buying a Wii last year. But then decided fuck it I wont. So I was left with a game sitting there gathering dust. So RE: UC is one game I will have for the machine. And when Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles comes out I will get that too. Besides those two games, there is of little else that is appealing to me at the moment. I dislike House of the Dead and Zelda and Mario. I might wait and see what The Conduit is like, if it is like Metroid Prime then it can fuck off. What is Sonic and the Secret Rings like?. I don't mind playing a Sonic game an hour or so at a time sometimes.

Eh... don't buy it. The story is dumb and the game is so-so. Every level you play upgrades certain skills and powers.

They have added an upgrade system to the gameplay?. That sucks donkey cock so it does. Because the Sawnik games of old gave you full control of him and all his skills were intact from the start, not earned as the game moves on. I guess I will buy it, but only when it comes down to something like ten pounds if that be the case. Same goes for House of the Dead as well. Bargain bin games at best.

The Wii arrived today [ordered two days ago - sunday] and I tested it out with RE:UC and the controls for five minutes or so was fucked I thought. But I am getting used to it now. It kind of tires my right arm out a little, and that is my wanking arm, so that is a bad thing. Maybe me arm wont be so sore after a couple of days of using the control setup. In RE: UC the checkpoint thing is FUCKED they are too far apart and you need to restart the same tedious as fuck bits over and over. There is no freedom of movement, the game lingers like a bad smell in some rooms for longer than it should. Then it moves on and lets you shoot things. It's as if they are trying to make you feel like your character is looking around the room before moving on. FUCK THAT. It wouldn't be so bad if there was items to pick up during this tour of each room, but sometimes there's as much in the room as there is in Paris Hiltons head. I hope Darkside Chronicles takes this shit out of it when it arrives.

I'm not a big Nintendo fan here. I have actually bad mouthed them many a time in the past. But I really can see where some of the hatred for them comes from, as I have owned and still own some of the older consoles [and the new one].

It's as if the devlopers [Nintendo inhouse included] do not want to make an effort for the Wii console. So the Wii [and Cube] are and were left with the hand me downs. Another thing that pisses me off about the Wii game selection, why is it they are porting OLD GAMES from the Cube to the Wii. Instead of using that time and money and effort to create new and original installments to the series [Resident Evil, Metroid Prime, House of the Dead, ect]. Is that all they really have to go on is porting old games from past consoles. A little bit of effort, please.

Well, Ive only got 5 games, so I'll rate them in order.

1.)Mario Galaxy
2.) Mario Kart
3.) Wii Sports
4.) Metroid Prime 3
5.) Resident Evil 4

I still need to get Brawl and Twilight Princess but other than that it is hard to think of many games to look forward to except for obvious choices like Galaxy 2...

I had a hard time putting together my top 10 list. There's some good games I would have added to the list, but not worth buying for $40+.

Brawl and Twilight Princess are def the best games on the Wii. I'm thinking about playing Twilight Princess again to get every hidden item/heart.

My pal Dave bought the Wii on friday there and he got The Conduit free with the machine. So I guess that aint bad. I have not seen it yet, he wont be coming to my house untill saturday of this week coming. So I'll see what it is like then. He said it wouldn't look out of place on the XB or PS. So that is promising indeed.
