This phrase, "pretty ugly," has always struck me as one of the worst oxymorons around. The actual list is funny, though. I have never owned an ugly dog (and if we were talking about women the phrase "ugly dog" would be repetitively redundant) but I've seen a few that made me think, "wow. That's a shame."
