BTW, it looks like the Romney campaign's incompetence is now beginning to affect some of his fellow Republicans in national races. George Allen was ahead of Tim Kaine in the Virginia Senate race. And Scott Brown was ahead of Elizabeth Warren in the Massachusetts Senate race. Now Kaine has opened up a rather surprising lead over Allen in just the last few weeks (since Romney began tanking). And Brown's lead has shrunk to the point where most polls show them either in a dead heat or Warren ahead by 4-5 points.
If Romney doesn't get his act together like yesterday, he's going to drag the Repubs down with him. Things are really tough when even a conservative (Bill Kristol) says that Romney's remarks were "arrogant and stupid" and there is still time for hope... if Romney will drop out of the race now and put Rubio in his place. And Peggy Noonan (conservative writer for the Wall Street Journal) called the Romney campaign "incompetent" and said Romney needed an "intervention" yesterday. :eek: Wow! Ouch! That's "friendly fire" coming from his own people.
