time for gaming to take the next step

been thinking about this for a few days now.
back when i played games when i was younger (sports games) i wished they would have made games with the "be a player" type formula,where you just control your single players part of the game. i finally got it recently (years and years of waiting)
they need to make it now in sports games where you can do a 2,3,4 or 10 player season ...ON THE SAME TEAM!
they have multiplayer online now take it to the next level.
example
i play MLB10 i want to play a season as the 1B for the Cubs,but i want to have it where my cousin who plays MLB also to be the 3B for the cubs in the same season. some days he has a day off and im still playing sometimes its the opposite.maybe i can have my friend from work who plays MLB also on our/my team as the CF. we all start out the same way in the minors and make our way up to the pros. i think if one is doing better than the other in the minors and gets called up quicker may cause a problem but whoever doesnt keep up needs to keep trying. i think it could change gaming and make for even more fun.say all of us here get the game and then get set up so we all have our "be a player" career all on the same team.

That would seem kind of boring. Especially with baseball. As 1 player, you pitch, and control the infield and outfield and control every player up at bat. Imagine how much downtime you would have if you were delegated to one player only? Sitting on the bench, sitting in the outfield. There might be times where the 3rd basemen doesn't even touch the ball at all.

well i was say along the same lines as the current "road to the show" is and that it just has a few times where you play defense but you do every at bat and subsequent plays after that. like after a single you have to run the bases with the results of the following batters.
how about football you play Qb your friend is Wr another is Rb.
you play other friends who have 2 or 3 friends as part of their team?

I like the idea.

Just sort of snowballing here, but I'd say if you could do something like that batting practice while balls were hit to other players it'd be a nice touch, or a variety of mini-games to keep things fresh.
