Technically, Teagan lost by 2 points. Since Veronica was ranked higher, she would have advanced in the event of a tie. Still, it was a close contest.

The rankings are based on the FreeOnes searches. There was a qualifying round for four at-large bids. Unfortunately, Shyla was not one.

Again, georges and Nightfly, some great comments. As I stated earlier, the rankings and seedings are based on the FreeOnes searches. I use this as a way to select the babe arbitrarily and in an unbiased way. georges, I totally agree with your apples vs. oranges analogy. But I like to think of this tournament as a "free-for-all" where the voters can select based on any criteria they choose.
Some have commented on the photos selected. The photos are in no way the sole basis by which voters are encouraged to decide. Go to the link beneath my sig and check out the babes' FreeOnes links for a better idea of what they look like. I totally agree that it's tough to do them justice with one photo. That's just sort of a visual start for the thread.
Going back to what georges stated, I think it'd be great to have more specific tournaments. For example, I'd like to have a Sweet 16 Asian Porn Stars tournament long after the dust settles from this one. I'm sure georges and brianelka would like to have a Sweet 16 Blonde-Big-Titted Porn Stars tournament. I think that would be cool too. Likewise, 001 would probably like to have a Sweet 16 Natural Beauties tournament with lesser-known babes. All are cool ideas. And I agree with georges that those types of tournaments would be a lot easier to judge. But that's one thing that I think is cool about this tournament is that it's not always easy to judge.
