Why save the world, when you can rule it?
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate the grave evils of capitalism, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals. In such an economy, the means of production are owned by society itself and are utilized in a planned fashion. A planned economy, which adjusts production to the needs of the community, would distribute the work to be done among all those able to work and would guarantee a livelihood to every man, woman, and child. The education of the individual, in addition to promoting his own innate abilities, would attempt to develop in him a sense of responsibility for his fellow-men in place of the glorification of power and success in our present society.

Now before I go on board with this I have to know something. When I go to the track and bet on a horse, how are my odds calculated in an 8 horse race? Let's consider a 15% rake for track overhead.

Are all horses set at and pay 8-1 odds.

Do all bets win no matter where your horse finishes.

May I bet on my choice of horses or must my bet be spread among the collective of horses evenly.

Perhaps everyone should give to their ability and take to their needs?

People brave shark infested waters on an innertube or sit in a shipping storage container for weeks on end to escape from those like you.

It doesn't work. No matter how many times you try or how many people you liquidate.

I thought I did, but in a subtle and sarcastic way.

Oh well, my mother and wife always tell me I'm not half as smart as I think I am (less when I drink).

A reasonably-close facsimile to the definition of Marxism, no? It's been tried....individual human traits eventually interfere with your "ant colony" vision of how society can operate. Theoretically sound, functionally impractical.

I disagree.
I stand by the original post:

Is that so stupid of me really? If so, why?

“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery..”
― Winston S. Churchill

And then this fella....

“One sometimes gets the impression that the mere words ‘Socialism’ and ‘Communism’ draw towards them with magnetic force every fruit-juice drinker, nudist, sandal-wearer, sex-maniac, Quaker, ‘Nature Cure’ quack, pacifist, and feminist in England.”

Ah yes, Churchill.
He repelled so many frontline attacks personally in WW2 and was remarkably sober the whole time.
Damn those sandal wearing, fruit juice drinking feminist pacifists. They've done so much harm.

Socialism as it used to be in Russia no longer exists in Europe (or at least, has been largely diminished). It has been replaced by (or has revamped iselt into) Social-Democracy/Liberal Socialism wich is very different from Marxism.
The very basic principles of Social Democracy/Liberal Socialism are :
-Progressivism
-Regulated free-market economy

Over the last 30 years, Sweden had a Social Democratic government fro 21 years. Have you heard about Sweden a a terribly dangerous communist tyranny ? Have you heard about the people of Sweden by a dictator, having lost most of their rights ?
No. Sweden is a perfectly democratic country

And the Swedish-Model works
Sweden’s job growth (as a percentage) rivals Germany’s since 2006; present unemployment at 7.5 percent is low among advanced economies; inflation averages about 2 percent; economic growth in the past five years slightly exceeds Germany’s; and government debt as a share of the economy is lower than Germany’s, according to a detailed presentation this week from Anders Borg, Sweden’s finance minister, at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington.
