The Walking Dead video game.

L3ggy

Special Operations FOX-HOUND
The 5th episode is easily the best and the most emotiona onel.

How good is the game? I'm kinda not sure about buying it or not.

I downloaded it yesterday, since its free, and gave it a try for about 20 min. I did not like the slow pace of the game so far and having to do detective like work, (searching around with a mouse like icon on screen).

Visually it looks good though. Like whalers90 said too ^^

I will give it another longer try later tonight. I never scrap a game with just 30 min or less game time but so far my leg is raised ready for the boot.

i think it has to ease you into understanding what you need to look for in the game, it gets better especially when you have to start doing set button patterns to kill zombies. it's definitely NOT a button mashing game, hack and slash type. you need to figure some stuff out, figure out how to get into locked rooms, keep members of your group calm.and other stuff

I really like The Walking Dead, i like the characters and often i had a hard time deciding what to do.
Activision is developing a Walking Dead game as well, it's gonna be a fps! Story is taking place before Atlanta and the farm and is based around Daryl and Merle.
I haven't seen much of it besides the trailer so i'm not expecting much but i'll definitely keep my eyes on it.

I take it it's nothing like Left 4 Dead?

Nope, absolutely nothing like L4D (which I love). It more of an interactive original story based in TWD universe than a typical video game, but the story, voice acting and graphics all combine to make a pretty sweet game.

I've been in The Walking Dead mode all weekend. I had never seen the show before so I watched all of Seasons 1, 2 and what they have so far of 3 and holy shit this show is awesome! I'm currently downloading the 1st episode of the video game right now since it's free.

welcome! welcome to the walking dead world! the show rocks- just the 1st break of season 1 episode 1.... when he gets out of the hospital and has to shoot that zombie girl at the gas station... I WAS HOOKED!

Oh right forgot to post back here. Finished it few days ago. Shorter than I thought it would be but I guess thats why there is more episodes.

The plot was interesting and making choices under timed pressure was a nice touch. Few other things were good about it but I think I can only play this game if it were free. Mind you $5 is a good price but added up through 5 episodes that I will only play through once myself isnt worth it to me. If they end up going for a buck or two then I'll give in and play the rest of the episodes, until then its my loss till its free.

Ok, so I downloaded epi 1 when it came out about a year a go and played through it, and then got 2,3 & 4 a couple weeks ago. For some reason, the game I started (and finished) in epi 1 is gone, so I can't continue it into the next episodes, and when I start epi 2 with "random selections for epi 1 decisions", it still won't let me continue the game the next time I boot it up. Anyone else have this problem? I'm on 360, btw.

Have you had a game update recently ?? If not clear the 360 cache first(deletes updates in most games), make sure your connected to XBL before playing game.

As of November there was an update for ep 4 that I read was the start of a problem for similar save issue.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Also, the latest OXM (X-box magazine) gave TWD its Game Of The Year Award. Not a bad accolade, considering all the stuff that came out this year.

Thanks alot, that appears to have done the trick. Just finished epi 2 the other day, it was awesome.

I just finished Chapter 5 today, I just hate it how the 4 most helpful people in my group had to die, run off or get eaten.

Whoa, spoilers, mate.
