What do you guys think of this? Has anyone seen it? It looks crazy...:dunno: Supposedly based on a true story, but that can't be verified anywhere on the net, as far as I can tell.

Heard it was good but I really doubt it. Im really tired M.Night's movies. Dumbass endings that make no good goddamn sense. Still like Unbreakable though.

I don't think it was an M. Knight movie. It's some rookie filmaker.

Just saying it's based on true events to pull in a bigger audience I bet. I read about this movie a while ago and never heard anything about these "true events". It was only in post-production they decided to stick that in the trailer.

It just looks like your usual people-trapped-with-killers-around slash-fest. Unoriginal until you trick people into thinking it really happened.

It might be a rip off of some Euro movie called "Them." Both look pretty creepy. There's a trailor of both of them that link^

it's mostly (loosely) inspired by the manson murders. Supposedly, it's not supposed to be a remake but the producers have said that the movie "them" had some influence on the Strangers (but didn't really specify in detail the connection), even though it it seems pretty much the same. The movie "Them" was based on a real event where three teenagers in like the netherlands or something broke into a random families vacation home in the country and murdered them.

I could see something like that happening. Certainly in this crazy world.

I wanted to see it, but it was in one theater here for one weekend. I figured I'd like it, because I heard it was done in the style of older horror movies.

I saw it. It's more of a "jump out of the closet" scary than a creepy scary. Good movie with a shitty ending. Half naked Liv Tyler is always good, though.

I saw it the night it came out.It's really not that great but it's o.k.
I was expecting a little bit more,I guess.It wasn't scary or all that creepy and there wasn't a whole plethora of gore.All that to say,I should have waited for the DVD,it's a rental and that's about it.

2 stars out of 4,Very average and middle of the road,but not totally terrible.
