Man, they just keep raising the bar every season with this show. What amazing writing, and it looks like we are on the cusp of getting, possibly, the best episodes of this show, ever to air.
I was really happy to see Antione Mitchell in the show again tonight. I love seeing the way Anthony Anderson plays that character. I hope we haven't seen the last of him.
I wish that these seasons didn't seem so rushed, but this show always seems to have shorter than usual seasons. I just wonder where we will see this whole thing go now that Shane is on the outs with Vic and Ronnie.
I don't know that Shane is going to rat, but from tonight's preview they say that he's "covering his bases". He's obviously covering his ass, and probably will do it in a way that keeps him from having to rat Vic out, but will give him a lot of leverage over him. I'm sure it will be artful the way they have him do it.
It was also sweet the way Vic walked into that case with the City Controller's ******** giving him an ally in his appeal hearing in order to keep him on the *****. I love the twists this plotline takes.
there is supposedly another season? ALL RIGHT!!!Well, I've heard that there is supposed to be one more season after this, I think I heard that on this board somewhere, and if that's the case, he can't die this season.
shane has to die. its only right after he jumped the *** the way he ****** lem. yes, shane did the right thing so he can be around for his ******. and lem did nothing to prove to the team that he wouldnt rat. someone has to die. either vic and end the show, or shane and keep it going for another season. i didnt watch from day one. i started watching from season 3 i think. but i have seen everything. shane has to die if they keep it going. :2 cents:I really don't want any more of them to die, not even Shane. I want this show to go on the way it is for a very long time, but it looks like they are going to do the smart thing and leave the audience wanting more rather than overstaying their welcome.
dutch, thats his name. he needs to die to have a sentimental value to the show. or maybe dannie. vic? either he gets away scott free or he dies. there can not be an in between. jail wont settle anything. at least not to me. :2 cents:Yeah, I love Dutch. He's so dorky, and flawed, and so real. Another character that really adds to the depth of the show despite being a ***** character. They could leave Shane alive this season, and then **** him off for the series finale. I could see them doing that. I'm really curious what they will have in store for Vic at the end of the series now that I'm thinking about it...death? prison?
vic is a hero. its that kind of cop that can get things done. yes he is immoral, but he does the right thing when it comes to protecting us citizens. if there were more cops like vic mackey, the streets would be much safer. yes he cares only about himself and his ******. but, when it comes to a banger, he pulls no stops to make sure he controls that banger. The way this show goes, they'll probably leave us with the ultimate irony, and have Vic die in a way that leaves everyone around him thinking that he was, in fact a hero, and that they had him all wrong all along.
If Dutch busts Shane for ******* Lem, of course he will rat. But that seems too predictable, I think we really havn't seen the last of Kavenaugh, and he may be back to add to the twist.I don't know that Shane is going to rat, but from tonight's preview they say that he's "covering his bases". He's obviously covering his ass, and probably will do it in a way that keeps him from having to rat Vic out, but will give him a lot of leverage over him. I'm sure it will be artful the way they have him do it.
.
lem didnt take the money and go into mexico. it was only a matter of time before they cracked him. :2 cents:Yeah Vic is a hero, and a genious. I completly disagree that lem did nothing to prove to the team that he wouldnt rat. He could have ratted the whole time, but he didn't. And like Vic told Shane last night, he could have waited instead of ******* Lem. **** the whole reason Lem took the heroin was to Save Shanes sorry ass, and Shane winds up ******* him for it.
i **** tina. she seems so naive. julien in the strike team. LMAO he doesnt have what it takes. but, a new season after this one? i love the show but i hope its the last season. no need to drag it along. lets just end the show with the ****** of all finales and let it go.Last nights episode(5/8) was awesome, Sexy Colombiana Tina is back but with a shitty attitude(shes got the hots for the new guy), Julien finally put down his notebook and joined the taskforce for real, Ronny was as cool as ever and NOW Vic knows the truth about Shane. There is also a chance Vic won't need to retire( season 7???)......:banger:
im not sure how vic didnt go off on shane either. as i was watching, i expected at least a punch to the face. and like you i wait with bated breath for the next episode. i think the shield is one of the best shows today, maybe even all time. well written for the most part. well acted for the most part. and plenty of action and drama. Also the way Vic handled the situation were Dutch set him up with Guardos GF. He kept his cool. But I don't know how he did the same when Shane fessed up. I thought Vic was gonna shoot him in the face.
There is also a possibilty Shane is wired( vic did confess to ******* the cop in season 1 during the conversation).
Also I think Shane is in hiding from this point on because Vic Said"if I see you again I'm gonna **** you".
I can't wait to see what happens.
Is there only 1 or 2 more episodes this season?
i **** tina. she seems so naive. :
i dont think i said shane was a villain. if i did, i didnt mean it like he is evil. yes shane and vic are both *********, but they ****** to protect their families, friends, and themselves. this doesnt excuse it, but i think it justifies it. :2 cents:Yeah, Vic is a hero for ********* a cop, and Shane is a villian for it. There's definately a flaw in this logic. I love the double standard! I love Vic's style, and it's easy to forget because he is the hero of the show, the way "Goodfellas" or "The Sopranos" gets you to root for the mob guys, who, are really bad guys as well, but he's a ********, and he murered someone who was a good person, and good cop.
im with you here. i dont know for a fact there is only two or three episodes left. it just makes sense to me. i just hope that the producers dont drag the show along. Are there really only two or three more episodes left? This is one gripe I have with this show. The seasons are way too short.
truth be told, tina is the only character on the show i dont like. i think all the other characters are well acted. all except tina. dutch needs to ask her out already. sheesh. :1orglaughThis is what makes the show so incredible though. Like or **** a character, they still add depth to the show, because, like in life, there are people that you like, and people that you ****. This show is like a slice of life that way. The writing and casting don't try to make the audience fall in love with every character. Like with Claudette. She not very likeable, and not an attractive person, but she's smart, and driven, and makes a great foil for Mackey. Julien struggling with his sexuallity was a great component to the show, and my favorite is Dutch's insecurity with himself. When he caught that serial killer, and was psycho analyzing him, and the killer turned it around and mind fucked Dutch. Dutch left the building to the applause of his fellow officers only to break down in tears in his car because the guy had hit it right on the head about how pathetic he finds himself. That was one of my favorite moments of the show.
i dont think i said shane was a villain. if i did, i didnt mean it like he is evil.
yes shane and vic are both *********, but they ****** to protect their families, friends, and themselves.:
this doesnt excuse it, but i think it justifies it. :2 cents:
Justifiable, but inexcusable. I think that's what they call an oxymoron...:1orglaugh
And, even if they did **** these people to protect their families, how is that justifiable from the perspective of the ******** mens' families, espescially Terry's? These situations are not as simple as you're making them, and that's why this show is so good, because everything is so complex if you take the time to really think about it from all angles.
