The problem with communism is that we "frame" it as a militaristic society with despotic leaders hellbent on forcing their views and "ways" on other countries while ignoring the needs of their own.

But that's just it.
Communism was ended by the very people it had supposedly looked after, not by any invading force or influential power.
even if the cold war being stepped up by Ronald Reagan did push the Kremlin up against the political/historical/economic cliff.
It was the people who ended it in Russia.
There is no such pressure on China and hardliner communism is folding there too.
and look what happened to the western economy when it was tried here, accept it was in the form of an unregulated dominating big business market.
Give it what ever name you want, it comes down to the same thing, manipulating and dominating the masses based upon what the powers that be, think will get them what they want, with little to no regards to the consequences.
