Melbourne: New Zealanders have voted overwhelmingly in a nationwide referendum to overturn a law that prohibits parents from smacking ********, with 88 per cent people saying it eroded their parental rights.
New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, however, said he would not be scrapping the law.
